While visiting Rickmansworth during the canal festival we stumbled across this little gem now it's not the biggest of places. But as for the service I believe this place has got it just right not over attentive but attentive enough also noticed although they were very busy nobody was rushed and the service did not slack which just adds to an even greater dining experience. Now the food well put it this way being half indian myself I believe I no a thing or to about indian food this place in my books is up there in the top 10 places in around Hertfordshire Food wise.Thank you for a great night Eastern Spice.Rishi from pinner Visited May 2015
“A Nice Evening Out with Good Food”
We choose this restaurant via TasteCard and the staff on arrival were very welcoming to me and my wife and gave us a choice of tables tucked away. Menu selection was very good and we were offered poppodums as we sat down and drinks order taken. We were given ample time to make our meal selections and were not hassled by the waiting staff. For starters we had Chicken Tikka and Lamb Tikka and both were very tasty. Before serving our main course the waiting staff politely asked if we were ready for our mains which I thought was a nice touch as many restaurants just to look to serve your courses very quickly. For main we had a butter chicken, chicken tikka badami, rice and a nan bread. I had ordered a garlic nan but in error they brought a plain nan which they by way of apology offered me on a complimentary basis. The mains were full of flavour and the chicken tikka badami is recommended as an alternative to your usual curry.Service was excellent throughout and as a result i tipped them 25% of the bill total. The food wasn't overly expensive and cheaper with a taste card (241). My wife and I will return here for another meal soon as it was an enjoyable evening with good food and excellent service Visited May 2015

Have now been several times and never disappointed. Why? - because the food is not average UK/Indian but much more authentic and real Indian flavours. As one who has worked in India I appreciate this big difference. More points - the staff are very friendly secondly my wife loves it too, thirdly small cosy atmosphere.

this restaurant is small and tucked but well worth the find. The food is reasonably priced and the portions are adequate. The staff are attentive and work hard to keep you happy. We found the food is tasty and well prepared, certainly one of the best Indian restaurants in this vicinity for some miles around.

We booked a table for 10 people based on the reflections of there reviews posted on Tripadvisor. Service was attentive and polite, despite being very busy on the night we were looked after well and food was greatly appreciated. The restaurant was very warm and cosy and from my many years of experiencing Indian food, this has to be one of the best I have experienced. This place is a gold mine for any curry lover.
